Sapporo, home to SIAF, is a charming city where urban convenience and abundant nature coexist. This year, the festival team has collaborated with other enterprises to provide you with several tours, allowing you to creatively explore the city and SIAF2024.
① SIAF2024 & Sapporo: Guided Walking Tours & Bus Tours
*During the Sapporo Snow Festival (Feb 4-11), these tours will also make a stop at the Odori 2-chome Site SIAF exhibition.

1. Sapporo + 3 City Center SIAF Venues
Departing from the Sapporo Cultural Arts Community Center (SCARTS), this guided walking tour takes you through tourist hubs, the Sapporo Clock Tower and Odori Park*, with the Future Theater as its final destination. Making your way through the city and enjoying friendly conversation as you go, you will grasp the basics of Sapporo’s background and history before you know it.
Get to know Sosei East & take your time in the Future Theatre
2. Future Theater + Sosei East
Departing from the Sapporo Cultural Arts Community Center (SCARTS), this is a guided walking tour of the east side of the Sosei River, also known as “downtown Sapporo.” Come and discover the charms of the new yet nostalgic Sosei East area.

Embrace the charm of Odori West & immerse yourself in modern art
3. Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art + Odori West
Departing from Odori Park*, this is a guided walking tour where you can experience the charm of the Odori West area, one of the city’s best-kept secrets – even from locals. The tour leisurely explores the area, winding up at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art.

4. 2 Suburban SIAF Venues
Departing from the city center, this bus tour leads you to Moerenuma Park and the Sapporo Art Museum. Perfectly suitable even for first-time visitors to Sapporo, you can kick back and enjoy the drive. This tour plunges you into the charms of the outskirts of the city, showing you that there is more than just nature!

② Sapporo International Art Festival + Sapporo Snow Festival + Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival: 3-Day Bus Tour from Tokyo Haneda Airport
Make the most of the Sapporo International Art Festival, held just once every three years, alongside the iconic Sapporo Snow Festival!
Departing from Haneda Airport, this tour is perfect for those coming from Tokyo. Visitors will be guided around the five main venues of SIAF, as well as two symbolic “winter art” hubs and other art spots unique to Hokkaido!
*This tour is carried out entirely in Japanese.
