Each week throughout the festival is centered around a unique “Weekly Theme,” featuring various events to spice up the experience! With these events, you may find new ways to enjoy the festival each time you visit during the festival period.

Preview Weeks
Explore the Forest of Media Arts
SIAF’s exhibitions at the Sapporo Art Park Museum are already open! One exhibition features the art unit Maywa Denki and the other reframes the relationship between Sapporo and media arts.
Jan 20 – 21
Opening Week
Discover Winter SIAF
Almost all of the festival venues will be open from January 20. What might happen at an art festival in the middle of winter in Sapporo with its heavy snowfall? Come and find out!

Easy Accessible Week
For Kids & For Everyone
Adults aren’t the only ones who get to enjoy SIAF! The Accessible Week makes the festival easier for everyone to enjoy by introducing new ways to have fun.

Snow Festival Weeks
Snow City Innovation
SIAF’s “Future Snow City” will be on display at the Odori 2-chome Site of the Sapporo Snow Festival, the city’s most iconic event! This will be a rare opportunity to enjoy both SIAF and the Snow Festival. The Future Theater will also extend its opening hours to stay open until 9:00 p.m.

Education Week
Be Creative!
This week focuses all its attention on encouraging creativity. Visitors can encounter a myriad of new ideas by experiencing the different works and participating in creative affiliated events and workshops.

Closing Weeks
Envisioning the Future
SIAF2024’s journey, where we looked at the past, present, and future from a new perspective, will finally come to an end. The Closing Week provides a platform to reflect on the many programs held at SIAF2024 and to envision the future together.
