Title SIAF Cafe & SIAF Archive Center

Sapporo’s Shiryokan (Former Sapporo Court of Appeals), a designated National Important Cultural Property as of 2020, has served as a permanent base for SIAF activities since 2014 with the first floor SIAF Lounge and second floor SIAF Project Room.

For the duration of SIAF2024 only, the venue will also accommodate the “SIAF Cafe!” Creative drinks and desserts inspired by SIAF2024’s theme “LAST SNOW” will be available, as well as festival merchandise and visitor information. Moreover, the “SIAF Archive Center” will showcase programs and events that have been held at past editions of the festival, and there will be a space for visitors to learn more about SIAF2024’s interactive programs like Fujimori’s “Create Your Own Snowflake Online” and ISHIHARA Ko’s “Comicaroid Project.”

*SIAF2024 will only be using a portion of the Shiryokan for festival-related programs. We highly recommend that you also visit the venue’s other exhibition rooms, where you can learn more about the Shiryokan and city history unrelated to the festival!
